The Kramer Projects Team

Ben Kramer

Originally from Nebraska, Ben Kramer attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln prior to working in the construction industry full-time. At that time, he also started to pursue his greatest passion…music. In 2012, Ben married his high school sweetheart, Christine. In 2018, Christine and Ben felt it was time to finally follow their dreams and move to Nashville, which quickly felt like home. Ben became a full-time musician and toured the US under the artist name “Bernardus”. To provide a more stable income for their growing family, Ben started doing handyman work.
Handyman work wasn’t new to Ben. He worked as a handyman in Lincoln, NE for 6 years prior to moving to Nashville. He garnered years of experience by working on crews that did framing, drywall, wiring, roofing, insulating, landscaping, concrete work, asphalt work, and more.

This work quickly snowballed into remodeling small bathrooms, kitchens, and managing unique projects (i.e. music studios). In 2019, Ben opened ‘Kramer Projects’ and began focusing on residential remodels.

Kramer Projects officially became a licensed “builder” in Tennessee in 2022. Due to an increase in demand, Ben expanded the company by hiring a CEO and a Chief Operating Officer (who is also a licensed General Contractor). Kramer Projects is licensed in Tennessee for jobs up to $3m.

Ben and his wife Christine had their beautiful daughter, Zara, in 2019, and a sweet energetic son, Kalum, in 2021. These days, if he’s not working on a job site, you can find him with his family, outside exploring, or in the studio, writing and recording music.

Lindsey Kraft

Hailing from Kansas City, Lindsey has garnered a unique set of professional skills and experiences, having worked in both corporate and start-up environments in Kansas City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Nashville. After graduating from the University of Kansas, Lindsey worked in accounting for a few years prior to moving to LA with hopes of working on the business side of the music industry. She got that opportunity at Universal Music Group, which opened up a path in which Lindsey helped build PR and marketing strategy that eventually led to entering the world of start-ups. Lindsey fell in love with the fast-paced start-up environment, specifically building businesses from scratch centering around technology. An organization freak at heart, she wore the hat of Technical Program Manager and helped launch 2 apps centered around helping musicians, creatives, and small business owners manage their social media.

Lindsey and her husband Grahm decided to leave California and moved to Nashville to be closer to family (and have a yard for their rambunctious dog Wesley). She has since worked as a Program Manager at Nissan, managing their in-vehicle Alexa and Google Assistant functionality for the entire US. She also spent time at Amazon where she helped build a new logistics arm in which small businesses could deliver packages on behalf of Amazon for a secondary source of income.

Lindsey is passionate about building brands, business operations, and creating sustainable internal programs that help businesses run smoothly. At Kramer Projects, she manages all business operations and finances with the goal of providing clients with transparent communication and efficient solutions to help bring their projects to life. Outside of work, she enjoys hanging with her 3 rescue pups, husband, and sweet baby girl Rosemary.

Andy Downing

Andy has a long lineage in construction. He began his journey in historic restoration, new build framing, and roofing while polishing his carpentry skills along the way. Andy transitioned into the Pipe Fitters Union in Savannah, Georgia where he worked as part of government response for the southeastern states in hurricane and natural disaster cleanups. From there he moved into privately contracted industrial and residential electrical and HVAC. Shortly after meeting his wife, Heather, they moved to Nashville as she worked on her career as a United States Army Military Police Officer. Andy worked for several businesses that ranged from landscaping, handyman work, septic systems, and so forth.

His work has been featured on the Discovery Channel as well as in a few design and woodworking articles. Eventually he opened his own general contracting company where he primarily focused on remodels and additions until Kramer Projects won him over. Kramer Projects recruited Andy to preside over Project Management as well as oversee the construction and additions sector. He will be your guiding hand through the technical side of construction while bridging the gap between subs, timeframes, permitting, layouts, and much more that can feel overwhelming to first time builders or even the experienced. Andy and Heather reside in the lovely countryside of Hendersonville, Tennessee with their three children, too many dogs, too many cats, and sassy chickens. They host weekly tabletop games and in his spare time Andy enjoys reading military thrillers and dabbling in wood crafts.
